Does not hold a charge long...
We are disappointed in this light as it does not last very long on a single charge. Husband's job requires a steady use of a flashlight so dependability is must. We are very satisfied with another Dorcy rechargeable LED flashlight, but this one fails the mark for us.
Can't be beat
This is an outstanding tool that saves me in rooms where lighting is poor, or when coming into darkened areas from bright sunlight. This lantern burns at least the 1 million candles advertised above for about a half-hour, after which is needs to be charged for 15 hours. So you can see it is best used for brief trips. An all nighter in a tent would probably be out of the question. But this thing brightens up any environment to virtual daylight. If they'd had this when searching for that Blair Witch, they wouldn't have gotten lost!
Don't Make 'em Like They Used To
They don't hold a charge. Switches break. The new version with different style case and labelled "China" are worthless. I've happily used several of the old version daily for 5 years, but the new ones I've bought are poor quality, and I will no longer buy Dorcy.
